Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer Russian manicures?
Yes, we do Russian manicures. All of our manicure services include Russian-style cuticle care using an advanced e-file method for clean, detailed results. If you’re looking for the closest version of a traditional Russian manicure, we recommend our BIAB (Builder Gel) manicure. It includes:
-Russian-style e-file cuticle cleaning
-Strengthening structure gel for natural nail support
-A long-lasting, clean finish
Our regular gel manicure also includes the same Russian-style cuticle cleaning but does not include any structure or strengthening, it’s more like a classic gel manicure found in most salons.

What is BIAB & Structured gel?
BIAB (Builder In A Bottle), also called builder gel or structured gel, is a strengthening gel that helps your natural nails grow without breaking. It’s stronger than regular gel but more flexible than hard gel, so it feels natural while giving extra support.
At Rose Nail Bar, we use BIAB from The Gel Bottle Inc., a high-quality, long-lasting brand. Instead of removing the gel every time, we do gentle refills, which keep your nails healthy and strong.
If you're looking for a clean, modern manicure that lasts and helps your nails grow, BIAB is the way to go.
With proper care, BIAB manicures can last 4+ weeks.
We recommend scheduling regular refills every 3.5 weeks to keep your nails looking fresh, healthy, and strong. -
Do I Need to Soak Off My BIAB and Let My Nails “Breathe”?
Nails don’t breathe, they’re made of keratin and get nutrients from your blood supply, not from air exposure. Wearing BIAB continuously with proper maintenance is completely safe and often better for your natural nails.
We only recommend a soak-off when you’re switching styles or colors and or if there’s lifting, damage, or old product buildup.Otherwise, refills are more gentle than repeated soak-offs and help your natural nails stay protected and strong.
If you’re ever unsure, our techs are happy to guide you on the best time to soak off or keep refilling based on your nails' condition.

How should I care for my nails after my appointment?
To keep your manicure and pedicure looking fresh and lasting longer:
-Use cuticle oil daily to hydrate and protect.
-Wear gloves when cleaning or doing dishes.
-Avoid picking or peeling gel.
-Don’t use your nails as tools, be gentle.
-Book refills every 3.5 weeks for BIAB or Gel-X to avoid lifting.
-No DIY removal, it can damage natural nails. We offer safe removals and refills.
-Keep feet dry and avoid tight shoes right after a pedi.
-Skip hot tubs and long soaks for 24 hours after your service.
With a little care, your nails will stay strong, healthy, and beautiful between visits.

Why is your salon waterless?
Cleaner results, mindful practices.
At Rose Nail Bar, we take a waterless approach to manicures and pedicures to prioritize hygiene and deliver better results. Instead of soaking hands and feet, we use warm towels, advanced dry e-file cuticle care (also known as Russian manicure), and gentle dry exfoliation. This method is more effective and reduces the risk of bacteria and fungal infections. It also helps the polish adhere better for longer-lasting results and protects the natural nail by avoiding over-softening, which can lead to peeling or breakage.
Better for the planet.
Waterless services are also more sustainable. Traditional salons can use up to 270 gallons of water per chair, per day, nearly 100,000 gallons per year. By going waterless, we significantly reduce waste and help conserve this precious resource. Our approach is simple: deliver exceptional results through mindful practices that care for you and the planet.

-
Are Kids Allowed?
Yes, children are welcome as long as they have an appointment or are accompanying a parent or guardian who does.
To maintain a peaceful and safe environment for all guests, we kindly ask that children remain seated, calm, and supervised at all times. Please avoid letting them lay on furniture or walk on seats with shoes.
If your child has trouble staying still, we recommend arranging childcare so that you and everyone around you can fully enjoy a relaxing salon experience.
-
How do I prep for my appointment?
Please arrive with bare nails if you're not getting a removal service.
If you have an existing product (gel, dip, acrylic) from another salon, please book a soak-off removal online. If you didn’t, you can either remove it beforehand or let us know in advance so we can add the appropriate removal service.
For pedicures, we recommend wearing open-toed shoes or bringing your own reusable flip-flops.
We do provide one-time-use foam sandals, but to reduce waste, we kindly encourage guests to bring their own.
